FAQ
How do I adopt a dog or cat from Hope 4 Paws Humane Society?
- Renters: Lease with pet addendum or landlord contact information
- Homeowners: Deed or proof of ownership (or tax assessment check completed at the shelter)
Do I need an appointment to adopt a pet?
No appointment is required. You may visit HOPE4Paws Humane Society during our open hours to view our adoptable dogs and cats and begin the adoption process.
We are open to the public every afternoon except for Mondays from 12 – 4pm.
Can I submit an adoption application online?
Yes. Online applications are accepted, but they do not reserve an animal.
To complete the adoption, you must come to the shelter in person and place an adoption deposit.
Is the adoption process first come, first served?
Yes. Dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens are all adopted on a first come, first served basis once applications are approved and deposits are placed.
What does the adoption deposit do?
The adoption deposit places a temporary hold on the animal so no other adopters may apply. Once the deposit is paid, the animal is reserved for you pending completion of required medical care.
