HOPE4Paws Open House Commemorating the One-Year Recovery of the July 2025 Flood
On the night of July 14, 2025, the Hope4Paws Humane Society’s shelter suffered a devastating flood. Thanks to our dedicated staff and board who waded through the waters to rescue animals, no lives were lost… but the damage to the building forced us to close our doors for nearly a year. Thanks to the tremendous outpouring of community support, we spent this last year rebuilding, while continuing to provide a safe haven for the animals in our care. Today, the inside of our building is finally restored, and we are once again open to the public for adoptions.
The Community is invited to join us on Sunday, August 9th, at 1:00 pm as we open our doors to the communities we serve in this Open House Celebration.
The day's activities will include
- Tours of the inside of the building throughout the event
- Food trucks & Community Vendor booths
- Fun, family-friendly activities including a furry-friendly splash zone for pets to beat the summer heat!
- Adoptable pet meet-and-greets
- 2:30 PM Dedication Ceremony honoring the past volunteers who have shaped the shelter's history
